NDIS Support Coordinator (Part-Time)

This is a part-time Support Coordinator contract opportunity (maternity leave coverage) to work 48 hours a fortnight until 4th March 2026.

About the Opportunity

  • Location: Gosford, NSW
  • Hours: 48 hours a fortnight, flexible between 8am to 5pm across Monday to Friday
  • Salary: SCHADS 4.1 $43.08 per hour plus salary packaging up to $18,550 plus Super
  • Role Type: Work in the Gosford office once a week and flexibility to WFH
  • Travel: Willingness to use own vehicle (with comprehensive insurance) for work-related travel and to transport clients we support if required (travel reimbursed)

 

The role involves assisting National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants in exploring service options (mainstream, community, and provider-based) and supporting them to manage their NDIS plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting NDIS participants to understand and use their NDIS plans and pursue their goals
  • Connect NDIS participants with NDIS providers, community, mainstream and other government services
  • Build NDIS participants confidence and skills to use and coordinate their own supports
  • Reviewing, monitoring, adjusting services (working closely with Plan Managers as applicable) in line with available budgets within NDIS plans

Additionally, the position focuses on building participants' capacity to manage their supports, understand their service agreements, prepare for plan reviews and learn or maintain skills to live as independently as possible within the community.

What you need to succeed:

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or higher tertiary qualifications in disability/community services/social sciences/allied health and equivalent knowledge/experience.

 

Experience:

  • This role will require 2 or more years’ experience in your field of expertise.
  • Knowledge of the Disability Inclusion Act 2014, Disability Service Standards and NDIS Act 2013 and rules including provisions relating to reasonable and necessary supports, NDIS price guide.
  • Sound understanding of the complex needs of people with disability and their families/carers/nominees.
  • Experience of effective and contemporary disability support models.
  • Fluency in a community language is desirable.
  • Experience in developing and implementing person-centred approaches that support people to build their capacity for choice and control over their own lives
  • Experience in working with First Nations and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds is desirable.
  • Proven ability to establish active partnerships and achieve common desired outcomes with communities and other organisations.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and client database systems, and excellent report writing, time management and record-keeping skills.

  • Current driver's licence and willingness to use own or private vehicle (with comprehensive insurance) for work-related travel and to transport people we support if required
  • Ability to work flexibly within business hours and travel within metro Sydney
  • NSW Working with Children Check (Service NSW)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Service NSW)
  • National Criminal Record Check
