Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days from home after settling-in period

Join Uniting as our Student Placements Specialist for our Home & Community Care (HCC), where you’ll develop and deliver a best-in-class student placements program to build a robust talent pipeline for our workforce.

About the Role:

As the Student Placement Specialist for HCC you will design, manage and iterate for outcomes, Uniting’s student placements program within Home Care; establishing strategic partnerships to drive the right student participation, and ensuring an outstanding experience for students and Uniting service managers alike, with an objective of employing students. Your role will focus on:

  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify the right organisations to partner with, based on Uniting workforce requirements, and build and maintain strong relationships with them to attract students aligned with Uniting’s workforce needs.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Work with upwards of 100 Unique Home Care service stakeholders  to drive placement engagement through understanding Uniting’s workforce needs and opportunities to attract students accordingly.  
  • Student Recruitment: Oversee the end-to-end student placement journey, from sourcing, recruitment, compliance collection for upwards of 400 student each year.
  • Talent Pipeline Creation: Partner with Uniting’s Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition teams to identify supply and demand opportunities, and pathways for student employment within Uniting.
  • Program Development: Work with the Lead to enhance the program, including establishing documented processes and a high performing program model.
  • Develop and deliver Training & Resources: Create and deliver training for managers, alongside handbooks and resources for both students and managers.

About You:

You’re  highly skilled in leading transformational projects with demonstrated measurable outcomes and people-focused professional who enjoys leading diverse bodies of work and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. You bring:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in transformational project management, student placement or talent acquisition management leading to employment outcomes underpinned by organisational strategic workforce planning objectives.
    • Strong stakeholder development and management with experience engaging groups of 100+ participants.
    • Proven ability to manage high-volume activities and design and drive efficient workflows.
  • Skills:
    • Leading projects with measurable outcomes
    • Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships
    • Recruitment or high-volume operational experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Problem-solving and relationship-building in complex organisational settings.
    • Process-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Bonus Experience:
    • Program design and implementation.
    • Experience within Home & Community Care
