There are also other ways to get involved with Uniting.
You can volunteer, take up a student placement, assist a campaign or cause that you are passionate about, or donate to help us make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable and at-risk people in our community.
If you want to apply for the job at a later time, click on the 'favourite' button to save the job. When you return to the careers site, click on the Candidate Settings located on the top right corner of the page. This will allow you to view your favourites (saved jobs) and manage your profile on our site.
If it’s not the right time for you to apply or you want to be alerted to similar jobs in the future, you can sign up for Job Alerts at the bottom of any job ad page. The alerts will be automatically set to the same type of job and location of the job you have found, however you can change the job alert settings before signing up. Any similar jobs will be emailed to you when they are posted on our site. We still encourage you to come back and check the careers page periodically.

Many of our sites have free parking or street parking nearby. As each site is different, please discuss with your recruiter/hiring manager.
In addition, anything paid in car parking fees can be salary packaged to reduce tax.
If your role requires a uniform Uniting will organise it for you once you begin work. Some enterprise agreements provide for a uniform allowance.
There are many roles that don’t require a uniform e.g. corporate services.
Whether you need a uniform will be discussed as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.
Uniting is open to sponsor applicants if they are eligible and meet the necessary requirements. Each situation is different; if you are a successful candidate we can discuss sponsorship with you.
Each role at Uniting has differing requirements depending on the nature of the work and any corresponding legislation.
Nurses, Care Workers and Support Workers can click here to see their compliance requirements.
All other roles please speak with your recruiter/hiring manager regarding the specific requirements for the role you are applying for.
Leave for part-time roles is calculated on a pro-rata basis. This works out to be the same number of weeks of leave per year as a full-time role because you work less hours each week.
For example, a full-time employee accrues 20 days of annual leave per year, which is 4 weeks.
Someone who works 4 days per week accrues 16 days of annual leave per year, also 4 weeks.
If you have your recruiter’s contact details, please contact them directly. Otherwise please email careers@uniting.org
We have a variety of roles available across NSW and ACT
