Create a better future for older Australians by supporting our clients to stay independent in their own homes for as long as possible.

Aged Care Support Workers duties and responsibilities can include:

  • Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation
  • Personal Care: personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, help at mealtime or medication administration
  • Transport: appointments or shopping trips
  • Social and wellbeing: accompany clients on outings or assist with our Healthy Living for Seniors activities
  • High needs care: support clients through illnesses and palliative care, and those with cognitive impairment such as Dementia.

Create a better future for you

Working to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice brings its own rewards. But there’s so many ways we will support you to grow and thrive in your work.

  • Learning and development: We take pride in developing the capability of our people and ensuring they have everything they need to be their best at work
  • Flexibility and variety: Each of our clients has unique needs so every day is different. It’s also a great opportunity for people looking for flexibility in their work, such as parents and students, as hours vary and can be negotiated.
  • A dynamic sector: With more people choosing to stay at home as they age, our services will continue to grow and evolve. By joining our Home and Community Care team now, you can be a part of shaping the way we do things in the future.
  • Wellbeing: The work our people do can be hard at times. Your wellbeing is a priority and we have a number of supports in place to help you be your best every day.
  • Career progression: The size of Uniting and our range of services provides opportunities to shape your future, and grow yourself and your career in different ways.
  • Social justice: We are the community services arm of the Uniting Church in NSW and the ACT, and stand alongside some of the most vulnerable and excluded people and communities.
  • Diverse and inclusive: We value and celebrate diversity and always welcome you exactly as you are. Locations: We’re the largest not-for-profit provider of aged care services in NSW and the ACT so we have many locations that provide the right care in the right places.
  • Recognition: Our people are at the heart of everything we do and we demonstrate how much they are valued through our Recognition program.
  • Quality services: Our various awards and official accreditations acknowledge our diverse and supportive team culture, and our unfailing commitment to quality and safety.
