About the opportunity  

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our friendly and supportive Sydney Central Home & Community Care team. Based in Lilyfield, working across the Inner West and South East Sydney for a 2 year closed contract.


Key responsibilities include

  • Managing the recruitment of support workers from end-to-end including review and screening of applications, leading the interview panel & facilitating induction, onboarding and training sessions
  • Providing timely and accurate data to the local leadership team and direct supervisor on our recruitment pipeline and progress
  • Leading, coaching, supporting and mentoring support workers who provide services to aged care clients in the community
  • Ensuring support workers are provided with regular feedback, are kept engaged and positive behaviour is recognised
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and employee experience by facilitating positive interactions with team members


About you 

You are an exceptional team player with a high level of energy and enthusiasm that thrives on helping others. We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience as a people manager, supervisor, or recruiter an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound and proficient organisational skills with strong time management
  • The ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues
  • Proficiency in using computer applications including Microsoft office, client/data management systems and a willingness to learn new programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of rostering management systems
  • Current First Aid or willingness to obtain
  • Australian Driver’s License and access to your own vehicle
  • Certificate IV in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Community Services, Frontline Management, Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification or working towards
  • Previous experience as a support worker is highly desirable
