About the Opportunity

The Neighbourhood Coordinator is responsible for leading a group of Support Workers and Volunteers to make a real difference in Home and Community Care services. This role will specifically facilitate the delivery of quality services to support our clients receiving respite at our overnight respite service in the Inner West Area, Glen Osmond House.

The Neighbourhood Coordinator will ensure their team fosters strong and professional relationships with each client and their circle of support. They will be the central point of contact for clients and carers to coordinate access to overnight respite. This role will oversee the day to day operations of the Overnight Respite Cottage.

About you

  • You have or are working towards a Diploma or Bachelor qualification in a relevant field (such as Business, Aged Care or Healthcare) or Certificate qualifications with relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years' experience in supervising a team, and nurturing them through ambiguity and change
  • Significant understanding for client needs, to convert these into positive service delivery outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills, with the client always at the center
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage budgets
  • Confident in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for social change and contributing to an organization of influence for vulnerable, at risk and disadvantaged members of the community
  • Proficient in using multiple computer applications, as well as the willingness to learn new systems/programs
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Willingness to provide out of hours support (on call)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required (2 doses). Current extension until 4 December 2022 for the third dose
