The Senior Intake Clinician (Clinical Lead) is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day operations of the service, with a focus on the intake and liaise functions. headspace Penrith, run by Uniting, aims to reduce the burden of disease in young people aged 12-25 years caused by mental health and related substance use disorders through early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention.
The Senior Clinician ensures compliance with relevant quality and safety standards, implementation of best practice, manages flow into the service and capacity. This position works closely with the Team Leader (Centre Manager) to guide clinical and support staff to adhere to the model of care and evidenced based practice.
Essential Criteria:
Qualifications:
Approved tertiary qualifications Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent and relevant to the field of work, and provisional or full membership with AHPRA or an appropriate professional body
