Uniting Early Learning is looking for an experienced Early Childhood teacher to join the practice team as our Pedagogy and Quality Specialist.

About us:

Uniting Early Learning is a large provider of Early Childhood and Outside School Hours Care services, with services in NSW and the ACT.

About the Role:

In this role you will work as a member of the Pedagogy and Practice team, a key component of the Early Learning leadership team. You will influence and drive consistent child safe quality practice.

You will support services in their cycle of continuous improvement and with their preparation for assessment and ratings under the National Quality standard. You will guide, inspire and improve practice ensuring services are inclusive for all children and families.

You will lead and support the ongoing development of Early Childhood teachers ensuring they have opportunities to grow and develop their capacity as teachers and leaders. You will mentor and support  educational leaders as they lead the educational program and practice in services.  

You will contribute to the professional learning program and the Early Learning child safe organisation working party.


For this role your experience ticks the following boxes:

  • You hold a Bachelor of Education or Teaching ( Early Childhood Education)
  • You are an accredited proficient Early Childhood teacher  
  • You have a minimum 5 years’ experience as an Early Childhood teacher with demonstrated currency of practice
  • You have a minimum 3 years’ experience as a service director having led a staff team though the assessment and ratings cycle under the National Quality Standard
  • You have a thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • You have experience leading a team through assessment and ratings under the National Quality Standard
  • You have a thorough knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • You have a thorough knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
  • You have experience documenting children’s learning on a digital platform
  • You have conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing timely, successful recommendations and advice on policies, strategies and solutions
  • You are skilled at navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required
