The Support Worker - Psychosocial Services helps people living with severe mental illness in Western Sydney to access short-term care to improve their wellbeing.  Together, they develop customised care plans and provide support in individual and group sessions.  The Support Worker assist client in their NDIS applications and provide individualised psychosocial support.

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health or related field
  • Experience working with consumers with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Understanding of the Principles of Recovery Orientated Mental Health Practice
  • Working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) including submitting applications 
  • Ability to provide individualized psychosocial support to people living with severe and persistent mental illness
  • A current full driver’s license and First Aid Certificate
