About the Role:

This role is within the IT Service desk team of the Customer and Transformation directorate. 

You will be responsible for all Uniting customers in relation to IT incidents, service requests and problems that are more complex or have been escalated ensuring the customer deals with one point of contact during their journey.

As IT Technical Analyst your day to day responsibilities will be;

  • Act as escalation point and Subject Matter Expert for the Service Desk and customers
  • Focus on minimizing impact and urgency of incidents, problems, requests with relevant support groups, vendors and customers
  • Perform standard Installs, Moves and Upgrades of software and hardware to PCs, ensuring all additions, changes and deletions are actioned accordingly

Ideally you are and possess;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined
  • You have strong, active and empathetic listening skills
  • Substantial analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Customer Service ethics with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service excellence at all times

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Technical diploma or Degree 
  • 3-5 or more years' experience in your field of expertise
  • Remote user support experience
  • Knowledge of IT hardware and software - theory and practical
  • Experience with high volumes, and data entry
  • Demonstrated experience working to tight deadlines in a medium to large scale IT environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Window Servers
  • Familiarity with website layouts and html
