Uniting Counselling and Mediation is offering a Scholarship for a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution. This Scholarship’s aim is to support an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island person to upskill and explore a range of career opportunities as a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
A registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner is an independent person who helps families effected by separation or divorce to resolve their disputes by empowering them to make decisions in the best interests of their children.
The scholarship is for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student.
What is the Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution?
This course is offered by the College of Law and will train students in the core competencies required by the Attorney-General to become an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
This course comprises of 4 core units to be completed within 6 months (6 weeks per unit) as well as 20 hours practical work placement which will supported by Uniting Mediation and Counselling. At least 10 hours of study per week will be required.

The next intake for the Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute will be February 2022.
