About the Opportunity

This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 30 hours / week where you will be supporting the implementation and development of MLC School Outside School Hours program. 

Days and hours required in this role will be; 

- 7am - 9:30am (Monday - Friday) 
- 2:30pm - 6pm (Monday - Friday) 
-vacation care shifts, during the school holidays 

Uniting MLC School Outside School Hours Care is located within the grounds of MLC Junior Girls School, our programs offer a wide and diverse range of creative and recreational activities that are tailored to your child’s unique interests, personality and abilities.

We are currently looking for an experienced Educator with a genuine passion to enhance the learning of all children and to provide the support that children need to thrive in. This is an exciting permanent part time position!

The service is licensed for 60 children during Before, After School Care and Vacation Care.

Your key duties will include:

  • Being accountable for supervision of children and ensuring their safety
  • Supporting the ongoing development of the children
  • Participating in all aspects of the day to day running of the centre
  • Fostering relationships with families and children throughout the centre

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Learning Education and Care, or Certificate III in Children Services and/or OSHC Services
  • Approved child protection clearance
  • Experience engaging with school age children across a broad range of activities and meangiful play 
  • Valid First Aid Course
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • Understanding of diversity and inclusive practice
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to working within the values of Uniting Children, Young People and Families.
