About the Opportunity

Uniting White Dove Early Learning offers extended hours, education and care for babies to school age children in a nurturing and creative learning environment. Our service is located in Condell Park and we celebrate the diversity of our children, families, and team. The service is approved for 40 children aged birth – 6years, which fosters a personalised and caring approach. Our indoor learning space is warm and welcoming and our large outdoor area provides a stimulating environment for children to explore. 

As the Cook/Educator, you will be planning nutritious, well presented and appropriate meals and snacks for children (0-5years) whilst adhering to food handling and hygiene practices.
You will be responsible for ensuring various dietary requirements and allergies are accounted for. You will also be responsible for stock control and ordering.

There is also an opportunity for additional working hours to support the team should you also hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.

What do I need to succeed?

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (essential)
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services (Desirable but not required)
• Valid NSW Working with Children's Check (before commencement of position)
• Preferred Experience in meal preparation for the Early Child Care setting.
• Flexibility required for all areas (E.g. Menu adjustments and work hours)
• A team-player attitude, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management
