About the Opportunity

Uniting Early Learning Kogarah supports families with education and care, including a preschool program. We are open long hours for children from birth to five years. We’re deeply committed to inclusivity and equal access for all, and value every child as an individual. Through the power of community and support for all families, we help children to unlock and reach their full potential. 

What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Cook, you will be planning nutritious, well presented and appropriate meals and snacks for children (0-5years) whilst adhering to food handling and hygiene practices. You will be responsible for ensuring various dietary requirements and allergies are accounted for. You will also be responsible for stock control and ordering.

Who we’re looking for

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (essential)
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services (Desirable but not required)
  • Preferred Experience in meal preparation for the Early Child Care setting.
  • Flexibility required for all areas (E.g. Menu adjustments and work hours)
  • A team-player attitude, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
