About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Adobe Platform Engineer to support the development of our new Customer Portal (Digital Experience Platform, DXP), leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce. Collaborating closely with our Adobe Systems Integrator and Technology Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical solution, ensuring robust integration with our existing enterprise systems, and delivering a world-class digital experience to our customers. This role will be key to driving the technical vision, aligning with business needs, and ensuring a high-quality, seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Co-Design: Partner with our Adobe Systems Integrator and internal stakeholders to architect the DXP using AEM and Adobe Commerce.
  • Integration Planning: Coordinate with the Technology Solution Architect to plan and execute integrations with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Technical Oversight: Lead technical decisions and provide guidance during the development and implementation phases, ensuring adherence to best practices in AEM and Adobe Commerce.
  • Custom Development: Lead customisation efforts, such as template creation and component development, aligning with project requirements.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all systems and integrations adhere to security standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Performance Optimisation: Monitor and enhance DXP performance, addressing bottlenecks to maintain scalability and reliability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the key technical liaison between business stakeholders, the Adobe Systems Integrator, and internal IT/Development teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, integration guides, and user manuals.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate technical training sessions for internal teams to ensure smooth operation of the DXP.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead ongoing enhancements to the DXP, adopting new Adobe tools and technologies where beneficial.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce, including a solid understanding of AEM architecture, content management, and customisation.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Advanced skills in Java, JCR/Apache Jackrabbit, Sling, and OSGi for AEM.
    • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and API integration.
  • Experience integrating AEM and Adobe Commerce with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and third-party platforms.
  • Cloud and Hosting: Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager, Azure, and scaling solutions for Adobe platforms.
  • Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of data security practices and compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Project Management: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies, contributing technical input during sprint planning and reviews.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with headless CMS and PWA (Progressive Web App) development.
  • Experience in technology consulting and working within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Safe, Kanban).
  • Relevant Adobe Certifications.
  • Experience in complex customer-facing portals and digital transformation projects.
