Uniting plays a key role in the local community with a number of key programs across the region.

Ngurambang – aims to preserve Aboriginal families where possible and if not possible to ensure children are placed with Aboriginal carers so they remain connected to culture or country.  Uniting are committed to Ngurambang becoming an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) in future.

Permanency Support Program (PSP) - aims to give every child a loving home, whether that be with parents, family, extended family or through guardianship, adoption or quality long term care

Burnside Intensive Family Support - parenting education, home visiting and parenting programs to families with children and young people who need extra support

Intensive Family Based Support Service – intensive in-home support service to families 0-15 years residing in Dubbo that have been referred by Department of Communities and Justice

Family Options – provides free counselling and groups that aim to improve the wellbeing of families and children

Brighter Futures – an early intervention service for families with children 0-9 years needing support including playgroups, home visiting and parent groups

Family Services – an intensive, up to 2 years, in home support program for families to prevent placement in out of home care for children aged 0-17 years

Western NSW family referral service – assists vulnerable children, young people and families access the support, services and community resources they need
